The role

This is a physically demanding, practical role within experienced teams delivering groundworks, drainage, structures, coastal works and public infrastructure. We need people who understand that good site work means preparation, pace, care and reliable communication—not simply turning up.

What you will own

  • Carry out groundworks and general civil-engineering tasks to the required drawing, method and standard.
  • Work safely around plant, excavations, lifting operations, live interfaces and changing ground conditions.
  • Prepare materials, tools and work areas so the team can maintain a productive sequence.
  • Raise problems early and help leave a clear, safe and properly finished workface.

What we need

  • A valid CSCS card for site work.
  • Evidence of practical construction or civil-engineering capability.
  • The fitness and willingness to do demanding, hands-on work outdoors.
  • Reliable attendance, safe judgement and the ability to work as part of a close site team.
  • Availability for project-led hours: starts are commonly between 6am and 8am and finishes between 4pm and 8pm, depending on the project.

Useful advantages

  • A UK driving licence.
  • Dumper, roller or excavator tickets.
  • Experience in drainage, concrete, structures, coastal works or environmental sites.
